Note: "Notes to be filed with specimen: Stamens and other flower-parts none: consequently genus not ascertainable. Flowers 5-merous. Sepals subscarious, depressed-triangular from broadly rounded sinuses. [illustration - undulate] shape. Exterior teeth slightly conic, ascending, surpassing the sepals slightly. Ovary 3-celled, at least at maturity separable from the hypanthium and appearing superior. Seeds obconic, with a terminal lateral appendage as in Leandra section [unclear: Belende?a]. Hypanthium and foliage pubescent with straight, short, simple, ascending or subappressed hairs. Stellate pubescence none. I fail to recognize the genus."
