Terrestrial herb to 2 m, tall, occasional in forest.
Leaves temate, much divided. Petiole scabrous with
small "spines", dull, mottled light and dark brown
in snakelike pattern. Tuber hemispherical or top
shaped, creamy yellow within. Forming small pink
tubercles on upper surface. Fruits white, exposed
part brown.
