Windswept and gravelly with panic grass; soil shaley-clay, gravelly, white to buff, few other species on substrate, adjacent to mine scrapings.

Description
Loosely pulvinate perennial, leaves ovate, revolute, tomentose on both surfaces, inflorescence capitate on scapes 7-15 cm long, tepals monomorphic, pale yellow with red midvein, sparsely glandular without involucres, 4-5 mm long and tubular. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
