Growing on and near mine tailings, steep (ca. 45° slope) on all aspects except north, red gravelly sandy-silty soil. No other associated species.

Description
Loosely caespitose perennial leaves erect elliptic to orbicular, margins plane; inflorescence capitate on glabrous scapes, tepals yellow, glabrous. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
