    On waste ground beside the road. Very hot and dry then tremendous storm and floods. Rolling, almost flat. Vegetation dense. Forests of tall trees deciduous and evergreen, many epiphytes, some wastes of short grass, much cultivated ground. Soil productive though largely sand.
