Moist deep rocky soil, slight northeast aspect, in disturbed area. Found with Symphoricarpos oreophilus, Penstemon sp?, Hackelia micrantha, Populus tremuloides, Abies concolor, Lithofragma sp?, and Artemisia tridentata var. vaseyana. Common for area.
