Sun, dry north slope, hillsides. Upper Sonoran: Rhus ovata, Cercocarpus betuloides. Dominant, abundant. Slate.

Description
Tree 13 ft., spread 4 ft., trunk diameter 4 inches. Note male cones. Wood sample takem 6 inches above ground. Tree cut from thicket to obtain main trunk. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
