Ripe and unripe pods light maroon, fading reddish; Leaves shedding, only a few persistent leaves. Leaf rachis and gland strongly tinged maroon; Arbol: Medium-sized, heavily-branched tree; to 15 m ht; Bark thick and corky, pale metallic grey, inner bark gr.
