Mexico. Chiapas. On the road from San Cristobal de las Casas towards Tuxtla Gutierrez, directly opposite the road to Ixtapa.

Habitat
On slope above and below the road. Growing with Quercus spp., Leucana spp., and Acacia spp.on steep slopes.

Description
5 m. trees with pale grey/brown bark. Leaves are pale green with red petioles in some cases. Pods are light brown when ripe although some fungal disease is attacking some ripe pods to darken the colour. In the latter pods seed is not set. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
