Habitat
Growing beneath pine forest on soils of roughly pH 7.

Description
2-3 m. bushes with dark brown stems and red haired shoots. Leaves are yellow green to dark green. Flowers large and woody with a green calyx, brown petals,both covered in red hairs. The corolla is pale inside. Staminal filaments are bright red.Stubby floral bracts are present. Pods are unripe and green,with thick brown pubesce. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
