Rancho Tasajera lies on the wcs,cm slope of the Sierra de la Giganta at an elevation ofca.375 m. with surrounding peaks rising to ca. 500 m. The vegetation is comprised principally of Antigonon leptopus, Lysiloma candida, Mimosa purpurascens, Prosopis Palmeri,Jatropha cuneata, Fouquieria Diguetii, Burs era microphylta, Lemaireo-cereus Thurberi. Following summer rains annuals were abundant.
