Mexico. Baja California Sur. La Paz Mun. Granite Hills 13 km south of Todos Santos where the hills approach the sea, probably very near El Pescadero.

Habitat
Succulent desert of Jatropha cinerea, Bursera, Pachycereus, MAchaerocereus and etc. on rocky slopes and upper alluvial fans; soil of granitic gravel. Fairly common.

Erect shrub about 6 ft. high and with bright red flowers. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
