    Roadside, in dry deciduous tropical forest with Lysiloma candida, Acacia cochliacantha, Caesalpina pannosa, Cercidium, Jatropha, Cactaceae, Burseraceae. Abundant.

  • Description

    Small, mutlple-stemmed spreading shrub to 1 m ht., scattered, understory. Bark mid grey-brown, smooth. Flowers showy, calyx and corolla green, strongly tinged scarlet, staminal tube cream, stamen filaments and style bright crimson. Anthers deep maroon red. Unripe pods green tinged reddish maroon, hairy. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Small multiple-stemmed spreading roadside shrub to lm ht. Bark mid grey-brown, smooth. Flowers showy, calyx and corolla green, strongly tinged scarlet, staminal tube cream, stamen filaments and style bright crimson, anthers deep maroon red.
Unripe pods green tinged reddish maroon, hairy.
Abundant, scattered understorey shrub in dry deciduous tropical forest with Lysiloma candida, Acacia cochliacantha, Caesalpinia pannosa,
Cercidium, Jatropha, Cactaceae,
Burseraceae.
