Habitat
Broad, braided sandy wash with vegetated sandbar benches, N side of the wash marked by steep, dark, rocky volcanic slopes (basaltic?); S side of the wash consisting of low, slightly rolling decomposed granite flats with occasional eroded bouldery outcrops.

Broad, braided sandy wash with vegetated "sandbar1 benches; N side of the wash marked by steep, dark, rocky volcanic slopes (basaltic?); S side of the wash consisting of low, slightly rolling decomposed granite flats with occasional eroded bouldery outcrops; the flats largely characterized by low, rounded shrubs with scattered, towering Pachycereus pringlei.
