Mexico. Baja California. Sierra La Asamblea, SW foot of range near the W edge of Mesa Yubay and the SSW side of Mesa Cuerno de Borrego; ca 7.0 road mi NNE of abandoned site of El Desengaño.

Habitat
N side of the wash marked by steep, S side of the wash consisting of low, slightly roolling decomposed granite flats with occasional croded bouldery outcrops; the flats largely characterized by low. dark rocky volcanic (basaltic?).

Description
Rays golden yellow. Disk golden yellow; Leaves bright green, strongly crisped-undulate; Arbusto: erect to rounded shrub; 8-10 dm tall.
