Habitat
Precipitous rocky south-facing mountainsides and barrancas, with arborescent Ipomoea, Bursera, Opuntia. Abundant on ridges above upper slopes of barranca. Abundant.

Tree to 4 m. high; clusters of fruit reddish brown, conspicuous above the foliage. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
