Mexico. Jalisco. Sierra de Manantlán (23-30 km SE of Autlán), E of the road-crossing called "La Cumbre" between El Chante and Cuzalapa.

Habitat
Along lumber roads; ridges and summits with open pine forest, the steeper slopes with Abies, Pinus, Cupressus and Quercus. Abundant in steep ravines.

Color Flor: Golden; Arbusto: Treelike shrub; 3 m. high; with several stems.
