Habitat
Growing under Quercus and Pinus sp.

Description
1-2 m. shrub with white haired, pale brown bark. Leaves mid green with a pubescent petiole. Prominent midribs are seen in the petiole. Flowers are held in squat racemes with large black haired calyx and corolla. The staminal filaments are bright red for most of their length but have a white tube at the base. The style is pink. Pods are densely haired and mid brown when ripe. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
