    United States of America. California. Mono Co. Glass Mountain Region: Solitary basaltic cone, appx. 1 mile southeast of Glass Mountain Ridge. The most southern of Glass Mountain peaks and ridges (aka "Cone Peak"). (Watteson Canyon quad).

  • Habitat

    Exposed conical peak of coarse brown basaltic cobbles and outcrops. Windblown dwarfed vegetation of Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Symphoricarpos rotundifolius, Eriogonum umbellatum, Artemisia tridentata, Leptodactylon pungens, Achnatherum hymenoides, Koeleria macrantha, Ribes, and a few dwarfed Pinus albicaulis. Occasional on coarse red pavement on 4WD road skirting E edge of cone.
