Habitat
Ridge of gray-black limestone, gravel and cobbles; fine buff limey soil with Artemisia and Cryptantha. Ca. 100-150 individuals over 15x40 m.

Description
Low matted perennial, 1-1.5 dm across, leaves erect, blade elliptic, margins revolute; inflorescence capitate on floccose scapes to 8 cm high, perianth white-cream turning pink; glabrous. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
