Granite outcrop; on coarse granite sandy soil tan in color. With Penstemon, Phlox, and Lomatium.

Description
Densly matted perennial to 2 dm across, leaves small broadly spatulate, slightly revolute; inflorescence capitate in tomentose scapes to 5 cm high, perianth cram to pale yellow, slightly glandular. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
