    Steep 30°southeast-facing slope of soft pumice soil. Large Bishop Tuff rhyolite outcrops scattered round. Open Pinus jeffreii woodland with Purshia tridentata, Artemisia tridentata, Ceonothus velutinus, Leptosiphon nuttallii. Occasional large patches.
