With remnant woodlands and grassy savanna-like pastures. With Miconia molybdea, Dodonea viscosa, Baccharis spp.

Description
Erect, 1.5 m tall. Apparently just beginning to bloom, only this one plant seen in flower; phyllaries yellow-green; flowers white with yellow in center of head.
