Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Igarapé Candeeiro in Oriximiná, Pará. Referred to Traveling Luck website, "Traveling Luck for Igarapé Candeeiro, Pará, Brazil," for location information of Igarapé Candeeiro (http://travelingluck.com/South%20America/Brazil/Par%C3%A1/_3403404_Igarap%C3%A9%20Candeeiro.html). Using the reference material and Google Maps - Satellite View, located Igarapé Candeeiro, which branches off from Lago Erepecu. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line starting at the beginning of the stream (where it branches from Lago Erepecu) to the approximated end of the stream (approximated through the dense forest cover); halved this distance to approximate the location of the midpoint of the stream. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the midpoint, on the adjacent eastern shore. Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the stream, 9077.97 m.), and measurement error (.01 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius. Site is west of the geographic center of Lago Erepecu.
