  • Georeferencing Method

Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Lago Ajudante in Oriximiná, Pará. Referred to "Lago do Ajudante" on OpenStreetMap.org website for location information for Lago Ajudante (http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/188757969). Using the reference map and Google Maps - Satellite View, located Lago Ajudante. Lago Ajudante branches from Rio Trombetas and is situated across the river from (directly north of) Porto Trombetas. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the lake, on the adjacent land (land between the lake and Rio Trombetas). Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to find the linear extent of the lake. Used linear extent as the uncertainty radius.
