Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the most southwestern shore of Lago Uraria in Oriximiná, Pará. Referred to Wikimapia.org website for location information for Lago Uraria. Using the reference map and Google Maps - Satellite View, located Lago Uraria at the mouth of Rio Trombetas (confluence of Rio Trombetas and Rio Amazonas). Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the most southwestern shore of the lake. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the geographic center of Lago Uraria, assuming this would cover all area that could be considered the southwestern portion of the lake. Input coordinates, linear extent (7613.12 m.), and measurement error (.01 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
