Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Rio Tototobí. Referred to "Use of Myristicaceous Snuffs" map for location of Rio Tototobí (Schultes, Richard E., "The Plant Kingdom and Hallucinogens." 30 August 2001. http://www.unodc.org/images/bulletin/bulletin_1969-01-01_4_page004_img001_large.gif). Using Google Maps, located Rio Tototobí in Amazonas, BR. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line beginning at the mouth of Rio Tototobí (where it branches off from Rio Demini) to the approximated end of Rio Tototobí (where it divides into two unmarked rivers); halved this extent to approximate the location of the midpoint of Rio Tototobí. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates, on adjacent land. Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of Rio Tototobí, 16859.2 m.), and measurement error (.1 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: River, stream, path, road).
