Habitat

Montane cloud forest. With Weinmannia, Oreocaullis, Calceolaria, Gaultheria, Oreopanax.

Description

Terrestrial shrub to 2 m tall. Calyx pale green. Corolla pinkish in bud, white at anthesis. Immature fruit green. Common up to and in jalca. [Plants pretreated with EtOH.] [DNA; pickled; photos].
