Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to Rio Mucajaí between the region of Pratinha and the mouth of Rio Apiaú (confluence of Rio Apiaú and Rio Mucajaí) in Mun. Mucajaí, Roraima. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located Pratinha and the mouth of Rio Apiaú, along Rio Mucajaí. Used the Distance Measurement Tool to measure a straight line between the approximate geographic center of the shore of Pratinha along the river to the mouth of Rio Apiaú, then halved this distance to find the midpoint of this line. Selected a point on the river nearest to the midpoint of this line to approximate the location of the midpoint of the river; used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the midpoint of the river along the adjacent shore of the river (collection assumed to be terrestrial). Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of Rio Mucajaí within the specified segment, 13600.9 m), and measurement error (.5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
