Tropical wet forest. Not locally common, but abundant along small stream.

Description
Suffrutescent terrestrial herb. Stems erect. Leaves distichousl abaxialleaf surface reddish-green to green. Immature flowers appressed to abaxial leaf surface. Mature flowers and fruits on an erect pedicel. Calyx green. Corolla red and tubular. Photographs of this collection are in the Gesneriaceae photo file (US). Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
