Patch of pine forest (Pinus occidentalis) wtill remaining in an area that is much disturbed. With Eupatorium, Baccharis, Piper, Nephrolepis, Rhytidophyllum, Tibouchina longifolia, Mecranium acuminatum. Occasional.

Shrub to 3 m tall; flowers (petals and anthers) white. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
