Disturbed forest of Pinus occidentalis. With Eupatorium, Garrya, Baccharis, Myrica, Syzygium, Ricinus, Brunellia, Myrsine, Tibouchina, Lyonia, Rhytidophyllum, Senecio, Agave, Piper.

Description
Shrub to 4 m tall; flowers white, anthers white; young fruits red; leaves curved and falcate, primary and secondary veins impressed above; inflorescence elongate and erect. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
