Dominican Republic. Distrito Nacional. Cordillera Central, Loma Mariana Chica, near Villa Alta Gracia; along trails from Rio Isabel; along ridge and just below southern peak.

Habitat
Moist montane/cloud forest. With Miconia mirabilis, M. prasina, M. laevigata, Clidemia hirta. Locally occasional.

Description
Shrub to 4 m tall; fruits immature and purple-red; flowers (both petals and stamens) white. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
