    Tree 13 m tall, the trunk 20 cm diam; mature bark mostly grey and slightly reddish, scaly. NYBG Accession Number: "4763/95 A, Pinus echinata, PT, unknown" This is the second tree from the S of 6 Pinus trees growing in a ± S to N line about 35 m long (sequentially from South to North are Atha 8472, 8473, 8474, 8475, 8476, 8478). Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
