United States of America. California. Mono Co. Glass Mountain Region, north edge of Long Valley, steep slopes leading up to Sentinel Meadow RNA.

Habitat
20 degree to 30 degree southfacing sandy and rocky granitic slopes, burning and grazing widespread, with occasional Pinus monophylla woodlands remaining, Bromus tectorum abundant on disturbed openareas, open sandy areas with Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Elymus elymoides etc., uncommn, restricted to outcrop bases.
