Habitat
Perennial clumps to 2 dm across, on coarse, dry disturbed alluvium sloping 5 degrees east, mixed desert scrub with Atriplex, Psorothamnus, Chrysothamnus, Gutierrezia, Erioneuron, Sphaeralcea, and Ephedra, locally common in loose calcareous desert alluvium.
