Perennial cllumps to 2 dm across, flowering after summer rains, coarse mixed alluvium sloping 5 degrees southeast, mixed desert scrub with Atriplex, Menodora, Opuntia, Gutierrezia, and Psorothamnus, abundant in rocky desert areas.
