Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Lago Iripixi in Oriximiná, Pará. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located Lago Iripixi along Rio Trombetas, adjacent to the city of Oriximiná. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure the total extent of the lake, then halved this distance to approximate the location of the geographic center of the lake. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) again to measure approximately to the calculated distance from one extreme of the lake toward the center. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of Lago Iripixi, along the adjacent northern shore (nearby the city of Oriximiná). Used linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of Lago Iripixi) as the uncertainty radius.
