Very common (often dominant) in better lit areas of the cocoa
plantations adjacent to and contiguous with above.
Rhizome c. 10cm down in the humus-rich soil.
Stipe glossy, very dark chestnut-brown for most of adaxial surface
and part of abaxial, with c. ¥4 laterally being light olive-green.
Lateral line pale fawn or olive-green with some chestnut flushing
basally.
Lamina thin-textured, both surfaces rich lime-green, adaxially with
a silky sheen, abaxially matt.
A bud near apex of some fronds.
