Distribution
I V X Rosaceae.......................................................Probably not a type Prunus gracilis Engelmann & A. Gray Boston J. Nat. Hist. 5(2): 243. 1845. From protologue: "Open post-oak woods of the Brazos, where it is called Post-Oak Plum." [G. Engelmann & A. Gray were dealing with plants collected by F. Lindheimer in 1844, in Texas. The locality is probably in Brazos Co., Texas.] This locality corresponds to Lindheimer Fasc. II, 237 of 1844 Even though this specimen was marked as P. gracilis, the location of Industry, Austin, Co., Texas, is quite distant (SE) from the Brazos River, so that it does not fit the locality in the protologue. verif. T. Zanoni, 2009 Flora Texana exsiccata. yfl Tateril. leg. F. Lindheimer, 1844. ^^ r mmw*. 01104610
