    Primary montane rain forest, tierra firme on steep slope.

  • Description

    Liana. Canopy tree, solitary. Root cone with 10 roots, between 20 and 50 cm long. Stem ca. 15-20m, texture smooth. Internode length 10-30 cm, sheath closed. Crownshaft present, 110 cm long. Petiole section round, 160 cm long. Rachis length 260 cm. Lamina bushy, 265 cm long, pinnate. Number of pinnae per side 24, 4 pinnae per group at the base of the lamina. Pinnae insertion grouped, middle pinnae length 86 cm. Sterile.
