Ecuador. Napo. Tena (Canton). At South West base of Galeras Cordillera, on east side of Pusuno River.

Primary montane rain forest, tierra firme on slope near river.

Description
Shrub. Understory, solitary, few visible roots Stem 2.60 m, thickness 3-4 cm Internode length 2 cm, texture smooth, crownshaft absent. 15 leaves per stem, sheath open, petiole section margined. Rachis 73 cm long. Lamina pinnate, width 34 cm, length 80 cm. Lamina pinnate, structure flat. 5 pinnae per side of rachis. Middle pinnae length 28cm. Inflorescences interfoliar. Peduncle length 42cm.Rachis length 21 cm. 8 rachillae per rachis, shortest 11 cm long. Fruits black. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
