Ecuador. Napo. Tena (Canton). At South West base of Galeras Cordillera, on east side of Pusuno River.

Primary montane rain forest, tierra firme on slope near river.

Description
Tree. Midstory, solitary, roots cone, root lenght 15-20 cm. Tallest stem ca. 5m, thickness 12 cm. Internode length 5-7 cm, texture fissured, crownshaft partial. 8 leaves per stem, sheath open, 60-70 cm long, petiole section margined, petiole 60 cm long. Rachis 210 cm long. Lamina pinnate, width 90 cm, lenght 270 cm. Number of pinnae per side 42, 1 pinnae per group. Pinnae insertion regular, middle pinnae length 60 cm. Lamina flat.
