Ecuador. Napo. Tena (Canton). At South West base of Galeras Cordillera, on east side of Pusuno River.

Primary montane rain forest, tierra firme on slope near river.

Description
Treelet. Understory, cespitose, root cone, root length 6-7cm, thickness 0.5cm. Stem aerial, height 0.80 cm, thickness 1.2 cm. Internodes length 4-5cm, stem texture smooth. No crownshaft. 4 stems per clump. Sheath open, petiole section margined, rachis length 38cm. Lamina pinnate, width 24cm, length 51 cm. Lamina structure flat, 4 pinnae per side of rachis. Pinnae insertion regular. Middle pinna lenght 27cm. Inflorescence interfoliar , prophyll papery. Peduncular bract color brown, texture papery. Peduncle length 4 cm, width 1 cm. Rachis lenght 12 cm, width 2cm. Inflorescence spicate. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
