Ecuador. Napo. Tena (Canton). At South West base of Galeras Cordillera, 1 hour before Pusuno River, place called Mondacachi.

Primary montane rain forest, on top of gentle hill.

Description
Shrub. Understory, solitary, no spines, no crownshaft. 8 leaves per stem, sheath open, petiole section round. Rachis 50cm long. Lamina entire, width 32cm, length 65 cm. Lamina flat. Middle pinnae length 7.4 cm. Inflorescences interfoliar, prophyll papery, peduncle 33 cm long, width 0.2-0.3 cm. Rachis length 15cm, rachis width 1 cm. Inflorescence spicate, rachillae 33 cm long. Fruits green, ovoid, 8 mm long, 4mm width. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
