    Occuring along road and on steep, rocky slope. North-facing granitic slope. With Acacia greggii, Achnatherum hymenoides, A. speciosum, Ambrosia dumosa, Brickella microphylla, Chamaesyce albomarginata, Coleogyne ramosissima, Cylindropuntia acanthocarpa, Dasyochloa pulchella, Ephedra nevadensis, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Hymenoclea salsola, Krascheninnikovia lanata, Larrea tridenrara, Lepidium fremontii, Menodora scoparia, Muhlenbergia porteri, Pleuraphis rigida, Salvia mojavensis, Sphaeralcea ambigua, Stephanomeria pauciflora, Thymophylla montana, Viguiera parishii, Xylorhiza tortifolia, and Yucca schidigera.
