Habitat
Growing on east-facing slope of open range, samndy soil (silt and sandstone bedrock) with Lupinus, Artemisia, Balsamorhiza, Phlox. Appears to be an old sagebrush burn area.

Anthers appear to be open across connective but closed at distal portions. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
