United States of America. California. Imperial Co. Southwest of Ocotillo along Boulder Creek in the Jacumba Mountains ca. 2.46 km south-southeast of Mountain Spring.

Habitat
In gravelly soil among granite rocks on northwest-facing slope with Rhus, Ericameria, Quercus, Eriogonum and Acacia.

Description
Perennials to 45 cm tall, from elevated, ± woody caudices; plants coarsely dendritic pubescent proximally, the hairs scattered distally; upper cauline leaves auriculate; petals lavender, to 10 mm long with a few dendritic hairs abaxially; pollen ± irregular, the functional grains ovoid-spheroid; pedicels recurved-deflexed, to 20 mm long; fruits pubescent on distal three quarters; seeds mostly biseriate. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
