On northwest facing slopes of decomposed granite. Pinus flexilis/Abies concolor;Chrysolepis sempervirens commumity. Associated taxa include Draba corrugata saxosa, Pyrola picta, Galium parishii, Silene parishii, Chimaphila umbellata, Castilleja applegatei & Selaginella watsonii.
