Disturbed forest, open areas with shrubs, scattered Pinus occidentalis. Common.

Description
Shrub to ca. 1 m tall; flowers with petals white (with pink-tinge on back side), anthers yellow; fruits purple-black. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
